Lady Panthers Stumble in Tourney

Box Score Boca Raton, Fla.---In game one of the Lynn University Tournament, Clark Atlanta University struggled in a 3-0 (16-25, 13-25, 11-25) loss to host Lynn Thursday evening. The Lady Panthers (0-4), who are still searching for their first win of the season, managed only 16 total kills in the three set match while Lynn (2-1) smashed 41.Junior Cori Smith put down seven kills on 20 attempts to lead Clark Atlanta followed by senior Alexandria Mattox with four. 

Day 2- Hitters Cori Smith and Alexandria Mattox led Clark Atlanta University in a 3-0 loss (16-25, 15-25, 23-25) to the University of Puerto Rico-Mayaguez in game two of the Lynn University Tournament (Boca Raton, Florida) Friday.

While still searching for its first loss, Smith and Mattox combined for 13 of CAU's 22 total kills in the game with seven and six kills, respectively.As a team the Lady Panthers (0-5) finished with 12 blocks led by newcomers Alexandria Baptiste and Sabrina Tucker with three blocks each. Puerto Rico- Mayaguez (1-2) recorded 42 kills and six blocks. In the final day of the tournament, CAU will face Post University at 11 a.m., and Coastal Carolina at 3 p..m., Saturday.
