Atlanta, Ga. —
The energy inside Epps Gymnasium was electric Wednesday evening as Clark Atlanta University delivered a statement win over Savannah State — a straight-set sweep that showcased heart, grit and undeniable Panther pride. In front of a lively home crowd, CAU battled through tight frames to secure a thrilling 28-26, 25-23, 30-28 victory.
From the opening serve, the Panthers made it clear they were defending home court. Every point was earned through hustle and focus — diving digs, relentless blocks and smart, aggressive swings. The team played together with confidence that radiated across the hardwood.
Jasmine Moore powered the offense with 12 kills and brought crucial points late in sets to keep CAU momentum alive. Christen Maloney added 11 kills, attacking with poise under pressure. At the net, Madison Spells was an anchor, stacking up 3 blocks while contributing offensively as well.
The Panthers' playmakers spread the love across the stat sheet, from front-row strikes to back-row leadership. Nakayla James fueled the attack with 21 assists, while Jadyn Harris and Kendall Cook delivered clutch swings when the Panthers most needed a spark. The team's defensive toughness shined too, holding strong against every late push from Savannah State.
Tonight, Clark Atlanta Volleyball reminded the SIAC exactly who we are, competitors with heart and a community behind us. A proud win at home. A moment built on belief. And proof that the Panthers are far from done making noise.
The Panthers will continue to serve game and ambition as they compete in yet another home game against Benedict College on November 7th.
