MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Clark Atlanta University Volleyball fought hard in a five-set thriller against Lane College on Saturday afternoon at Bruce Hall/Johnson Gymnasium, ultimately falling just short 3–2 (20–25, 25–22, 25–20, 17–25, 16–18).
The Lady Panthers showed resilience throughout the match, pushing the Dragons to the limit with an energetic and balanced team effort. Christen Maloney led the way with 10 kills and four service aces, while Jadyn Harris added eight kills, 23 assists, and five blocks in a dynamic two-way performance. Morgan Williams matched Harris with eight kills and three aces, and Kennedi Quarles contributed five kills and strong work at the net with four block assists.
Madison Spells provided efficient offense with seven kills on a .556 hitting percentage and tallied nine assists, while Kendall Cook anchored the defense with 12 digs. Clark Atlanta finished the match hitting .128 as a team, their most efficient performance of the weekend.
Despite being short-handed, the Lady Panthers showcased grit and determination, rallying from a set down twice and forcing a decisive fifth set that came down to the wire.
Clark Atlanta (1–18, 1–9 SIAC) continues to show growth and competitive spirit as conference continues. They will be playing against Savannah State University on October 15th.
