Tampa, Fla.---With a valiant effort, the eight-seeded CAU Lady Panthers were eliminated from the 2012 NCAA Division II Volleyball Regional Tournament Championship with a 3-0 loss (25-21, 25-14, 25-20) to No. 1 Tampa Thursday at the Bob Martinez Athletic Center in Tampa.

Freshman Cori Smith led Clark Atlanta with nine kills followed by senior Ashley Brooks who smacked down eight. Libero Tyneishah Spears recorded a game-high 14 digs including seven in the first set.

The Lady Panthers finished their remarkable season 25-17 after winning their first SIAC championship title.
