PREVIEW: Panthers Volleyball Heads to Fort Valley for Midweek Conference Clash

Volleyball looks to extend win-streak to three games

ATLANTA, Ga. – Lady Panthers' Volleyball returns to action on the road as they head to Fort Valley, Ga. to take on the Fort Valley State Wildcats on Wednesday, October 11, at 6 p.m 
 
The Lady Panthers and Wildcats last met on September 6, when Clark Atlanta swept FVSU 3-0 in their home opener. Clark Atlanta leads the all-time series 24-2 dating back to 2009.

Scouting the Panthers 
  • The Lady Panthers are 12-7 overall and 9-3 in SIAC play.  
  • Shynique McGee (Atlanta, Ga.) leads the Panthers offensively with 218 kills and a team-high attacking percentage (.266).   
  • McGee looks to extend her double-figure kill streak to 11 games. 
  • Nakayla James (Altamonte Springs, Fla.) ranks second to McGee in digs with 150 at the libero position.
  • Allanah Drayton-Campbell (Duncanville, Texas) is CAU's top facilitator, setting a team-high 303 assists through 19 games.
Scouting the Wildcats 
  • The Wildcats are 9-9 overall and 5-7 against SIAC competition. 
  • Fort Valley State lost to Albany State last Friday, 3-1, on their home floor.

Clark Atlanta downed Allen 3-0 followed by a 3-2 win over Benedict in doubleheader on Saturday (Oct. 7) inside Epps Gymnasium.
