Warren and Redmond Earn First-Place Finishes, 4x400 Relay Team Finishes First

CAU Women's Track and Field Opens the Season at Susan Rouse Invitational

CENTRAL, S.C. -- The Clark Atlanta women's track and field team opened the 2024 season by competing at the Susan Rouse Invitational hosted by Southern Wesleyan University. The day was highlighted by three first-place finishes for the Lady Panthers.

Karon Warren earned a first-place finish in the women's 400-meter relay with a time of 59.21. Freshman Jayme Redmond tossed an 11.10m throw in the shot put to place first in her collegiate debut for Clark Atlanta. 

In addition, Clark Atlanta finished the women's 4x100 relay in 2nd place with a time of 49.84 (Jayla Hartley-Scott, Kaylin Strahan, Anniyah Williams, Isis Lewis). Naomi Andrews also finished in 2nd place in the high jump. 

The Lady Panthers finished the day with a first-place finish in the 4x400 relay from the quad of Karon Warren, Anniyah Williams, Kaylin Strahan, and Jayla Hartley-Scott

UP NEXT

The Lady Panthers return to the track on Saturday, March 9 as they host the 2024 CAU Panther Track Classic at Panther Stadium.
