Lady Panthers Finish Alice Coachman Invite in Second Place

Clark Atlanta notches third-straight top-three finish

ALBANY, Ga. – For the third straight week, Clark Atlanta women's track and field finds themselves with a top-three finish after placing second out of a field of ten teams competing at the Alice Coachman Invitational hosted by Albany State on Saturday.

The Lady Panthers tallied 123 total points to finish 15 points higher than Division I Florida A&M.

Shynique McGee continues her stellar 2025 campaign after amassing 10 points with a first place finish in the javelin throw (32.65m) followed by her teammates Aliyah Jackson in second (29.68m), Janih'ya Campbell (27.76m) in third, and Danielle Thompson in fourth (26.72m).

McGee also placed second in the women's long jump with a leap of 5.25m to collect eight more points followed by a second place finish in the triple jump (11.37m) to bring her point total to 16 across the two events.

Dae'Janah Hannah finished the women's discus throw in third place with a toss of 32.91m and six more points to add to her team's total.

In the 4x100 meter relay, the team of Morgan Graham, Jayla Kennedy, Anniyah Williams, and Karon Warren set a new school record as they finished in second place with a time of 46.71. Additionally, Jayme Redmond set a new school record in the hammer throw with a toss of 41.91.

Anniyah Williams found success in the 200-meter relay as she finished in third place (24.72), adding six points to the Lady Panthers' score. Lastly, Aliyah Jackson finished the 5000-meter run in fourth place with a time of 27:28.09.

UP NEXT

The Lady Panthers now turn their focus to the 2025 SIAC Track and Field Championships starting on Thursday, April 24 in Columbia, South Carolina.
