Cayne Earns SIAC Men's Basketball Newcomer of the Week

CAU Men's Basketball nabs second-straight Newcomer of the Week

ATLANTA, Ga. -- Clark Atlanta junior center Kharye Cayne has been selected as this week's SIAC Men's Basketball Newcomer of the Week after his astounding performances this past week in conference play.

The Raleigh, North Carolina native ended the week with a double-double performance with an identical 10 blocks and 10 rebounds to complete the season sweep over cross-campus rival Morehouse College. He also started the week with an 11-point, 13-rebound game in a win over Edward Waters, followed by a 13-rebound performance at Miles College.

Cayne currently leads the conference in rejections with a remarkable 88 blocks for an average of 3.5 per game. He is also sixth in the SIAC in rebounding per contest with 7.4 boards per game.
