Woods denied the Marauder return game with directional punts allowing just two punts to be returned all game for 19 yards. He averaged 43.6 yards per punt with his longest being 52 yards.
Morgan tallied eight tackles in the win along with recording his first career interception - returning it 24 yards in the second quarter. In the third quarter, Morgan stripped the Marauder ball carrier to force a fumble for the Central State offense.
Both defenses will be tested as both teams have surrendered 44+ points in two games. CAU is allowing 24.5 PPG while FVSU has given up 22 PPG. The Panthers have given up 800 yards of offense thus far while the Wildcats have surrendered 708 yards.
Matthew Daniels leads the Panthers offense in rushing yards (133) and has rushed into the end zone once in each game. In 2015 CAU rushed for just six scores, through two games in 2016 the Panthers have found the end zone four times.
