Panthers Edge Allen 17-14 to Win Homecoming 2026

Clark Atlanta outlasts Allen 17-14

ATLANTA, Ga. — Clark Atlanta University celebrated its 2026 Homecoming as the Panthers took on the Allen University Yellow Jackets in a highly anticipated football matchup.
Clark Atlanta University (CAU) narrowly defeated Allen University, 17–14, on Saturday afternoon at Panther Stadium.

The Yellow Jackets started the half with an unimpressive drive of two plays for five yards in 1:21. The Panthers capitalized on the opportunity, and Cedric Oglesby completed a 52-yard field goal attempt, becoming the first to put points on the board and making the score 3–0. Throughout the first quarter, the teams remained relatively evenly matched, with neither able to score again.

That changed when Allen punched in a rushing touchdown, making the score 7–3. However, Clark Atlanta responded, and with 39 seconds left before halftime, Trayvon Pinder rushed up the middle for a two-yard touchdown, making it 10–7 going into halftime.

Coming out of halftime, both teams played a scoreless third quarter, with both making failed field goal attempts.

Going into the final quarter, Allen quickly gained momentum with a rushing touchdown, making the score 14–10. Clark Atlanta, however, didn't back down. With 15 seconds left in the game, a two-yard rush up the middle for a touchdown made the final score 17–14.

During Clark Atlanta's Homecoming game, the team created a suspenseful and exciting environment, scoring both touchdowns with only seconds remaining in the half and game.

Xzavier Jackson (116 yards passing), Chry'shawn Sellers (seven catches for 51 yards), and Trayvon Pinder (98 rushing yards) led the Panthers offensively, while Eric Searcy led defensively with 10 tackles.
