Despite scoring a season low seven points last week, the Panthers still lead the SIAC with 199 points scored over eight games, averaging 24.9 PPG. Only Miles (26.3) and Tuskegee (25.7) average more points - with each school playing just seven games to date.
Clark Atlanta averages an SIAC best with 361.9 yards/G of total offense. The Panthers offense leads the SIAC with 2,164 yards passing and 2,895 total yards. CAU has also scored 26 touchdowns in eight games for the highest output in the SIAC.
With 2,164 passing yards, CAU averages 270.5 yards/G passing. The average is nearly 50 yards/G higher than the next closest team (222.0 - Tuskegee).
The game will feature the No. 1 and No. 2 SIAC special team units in punting. Miles (35.0 net yards/punt) has punted 33 times this season and allows just 2.4 yards/return. Clark Atlanta (34.6 net yards/punt) has 36 punts this season with only 43 punts being returned for an average of 1.2 yards/return.
Ty Woods ranks second in the SIAC with 39.1 yards/punt.
CAU has tallied 148 first downs to lead the SIAC and average 18.5/G. The Panthers have been able to extend drives by converting 36.8% of third down attempts for the second best rate in the SIAC.

Johnathon McCrary leads the SIAC with 217.6 passing yards/G and is second with a rating of 138.2. The junior has completed 124-of-215 passes for a conference-best 1,741 and is tied for the lead with 13 touchdown passes.

Carlos Saldana ranks as the second-highest scoring kicker in the SIAC averaging 5 points/G. The freshman is 7-for-11 on FG attempts with a long of 42 yards.
Senior
Deandre Jackson continues to lead the SIAC in punt return average (6.8 yards/return) and kick return average (27.4 yards/return). Jackson sits third in the SIAC with 106.5 yards/G in all purpose yards. Through the first eight games he has posted 196 receiving yards along with 109 on punt returns and 547 on kick returns.
Jacob Mitchell ranks No. 5 in the SIAC with 69 tackles on the season. The four-year senior linebacker has 165 career tackles, 20.5 tackles-for-loss, and seven career sacks.
This will be the 31st game in series history between Clark Atlanta and Miles. In the first 30 games, CAU holds the 17-13 advantage, with Miles claiming victory in the two most recent games. The last Panther victory was recorded in 2010 (35-9). Through 30 games played the Panthers lead the scoring 651-425.
