SELMA, Ala. - With Clark Atlanta trailing at the break between halves, the weather worsened and the playing conditions led to the athletic directors of the two schools ruling the game a "no contest."
 
Matthew Vincent had found Brenton Martin for a 31-yard scoring pass in the second quarter to pull within seven points, 14-7.  A late field goal by the Hornets extended the lead to 17-7 heading into the intermission.
 
After a large bolt of lightning caused a delay two plays into the second half the field was cleared.  After a few delays due to repeated lightning strikes in the area, the game was cancelled. 
 
CAU will conclude the 2015 season next week with a road game at Samford University, with kick-off set for Nov. 7 at 2:00 p.m. from Birmingham, Ala.
