CAMBRIDGE, Ma. - St. George Pink from the Clark Atlanta Baseball team has been selected as a participant in the 2015 Harvard Divinity Schools' Diversity and Explorations Program. Chosen from more than 1000 applicants, Pink's academic background, commitment to social justice, and interest in theology, religion and ministry afforded him selection into the program with all expenses paid. The program, Nov. 3-5, 2015, offers three days of "infinite possibilities."
DivEx is for college undergraduates who have a commitment to diversity and social justice and who are considering a career in any fields in which the study of religion, theology, and ethics would be an asset. A handful of promising recent college graduates will be considered if space allows.
Attendees at DivEx 2014The primary goal of DivEx is to increase participation by members of groups that are underrepresented in the study of religion. With that in mind, we especially encourage applications from African American, Latino and Latina, Asian American, Pacific Islander, and Native American students. We also aim to attract students of diverse socioeconomic backgrounds, first-generation students, and LGBTQ students, among other underrepresented groups.
