Panthers End Season with Road Loss

Baton Rouge, La.---The Clark Atlanta University football season culminates with a 53-0 road loss to SWAC contender Southern University Saturday in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

The Jaguars' offensive attack exploded in the first and fourth quarters with 20 points in each while they carried a 26-0 lead in the half. Though CAU held Southern to only one score in the third period, it struggled to produce points of its own while managing 91 total offensive yards and two first downs compared to 423 yards and 20 first downs by the Jaguars. Defensively, CAU's Brenard Williams and Joshua Tate topped all players with 12 total tackles followed by Stevon McGill who finished with 10. Running back Montavious Taylor finished with 49 rushing yards on 17 carries.

Clark Atlanta finished the season 3-7, one more win than last year inlcuding a fourth place finish in the SIAC East Division with a 1-4 record.
