Jackson Named Freshman and Newcomer of the Year, Harris and Lopez Earn All-Conference Team Honors

Three Panthers earn postseason honors

ATLANTA, Ga. – The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference has released its postseason football all-conference honors. Xzavier Jackson earned SIAC Freshman and Newcomer of the Year in just seven games played. Reigning Division II All-American Armone Harris earned SIAC First-Team honors, while freshman Carlos Lopez secured a Second-Team nod. 

Xzavier Jackson showed up on Clark Atlanta's campus with a point to prove. The true freshman earned SIAC Freshman and Newcomer of the Year honors after throwing for a freshman record 2,103 yards and 18 touchdowns in his freshman campaign. The Sunshine State native led the conference in passing yards per game (300.4 AVG/G), touchdowns (18), and total offense (284.0 YPG).

He threw for a career-high 425 yards and four touchdowns against a stout Kentucky State defense, which earned him a Newcomer of the Week selection, and threw for 244 or more yards in six out of seven contests. 

Armone Harris continues to prove why he was selected as a DII All-American last season. Harris led the conference in receptions (76), receiving yards (946), receiving touchdowns (11), receptions per game (7.6), and receiving yards per game (94.6). Harris also ranks 6th in Division II receiving yards, 7th in yards per game, 6th in receiving touchdowns, and fourth in receptions per game. Harris currently holds every receiving record in Clark Atlanta football history. 

Carlos Lopez anchored special teams for Clark Atlanta in his freshman year. The kicker from Calhoun County went 11-for-14 on field goals during the 2025 season while remaining perfect on PATs.
