Atlanta, Ga.---Clark Atlanta University Assistant Head Football Coach Rodrick Robinson has been selected to participate in the 2012 NCAA and NFL Coaches Academy to be held May 22-24, in Dallas, Texas.
The NCAA and NFL serve as partners to initiate an effort to provide the necessary tools and networking opportunities to 30 collegiate and 30 NFL coaches that will enhance their chances of success in the football coaching industry.
“I am honored and humbled by this opportunity to participate in the Coaches Academy. I know I will gain a wealth of knowledge that will enhance my career as a collegiate coach," said Robinson.
This year’s academy will educate and train participants on topics such as the importance of building the right culture for the overall success of student-athletes, budget management, successful networking, media messaging, understanding coaching contracts, insight to the hiring process, issues in higher education, effective leadership, understanding the academic landscape, and the interview process.
Robinson will enter his third year at CAU this season as the offensive line and tight ends coach He is an Atlanta native and holds a membership to the American Football Coaches Association.
