Atlanta, GA- The Atlanta University Center (AUC) battle belonged to Morehouse College as the Maroon Tigers topped Clark Atlanta University 30-2 Thursday at B.T. Harvey Stadium.

David Carter’s 7-yard run gave Morehouse the early lead, and the Maroon Tigers never looked back. Carter accumlated 148 of the Maroon Tiger's 218 rushing yards as they amassed 423 total yards on offense. 

Defensive end Darel Strong’s safety in the second quarter put the Panthers on the board which would be their only score of the game. CAU struggled offensively and could not find its rhythm. Strong finished with a game-high 11 tackles including three for losses, one-and-a-half sacks and three quarterback hurries. Linebacker Kiece Crite followed with 10 tackles while Chris Alexander recorded seven.

Next, the Panthers will host Miles College in the Homecoming game Saturday, Oct. 8, 1:30 p.m., at Panther Stadium.
