ATLANTA, Ga. – The Clark Atlanta University Athletics Department is proud to announce the 2026 Raymond "Tweet" Williams Athletics Hall of Fame class, honoring 17 individuals and one team for their outstanding contributions to CAU Athletics.
"The Clark Atlanta University Athletics Hall of Fame Class of 2026 represents the very best of what it means to be a Panther. This is an exceptionally exciting class because it reflects excellence across a wide variety of sports and recognizes accomplishments that span more than five decades of Clark Atlanta University athletic history." Director of Athletics Dr Jerel Drew said, "From championship teams and standout student-athletes to coaches, supporters, and trailblazers, these inductees embody the strength, resilience, and enduring legacy of CAU Athletics. The Class of 2026 includes individuals whose contributions date from the 1960s through the 2010s, highlighting the lasting impact that generations of Panthers have made on our institution and beyond."
The 2026 Hall of Fame class includes Sammie Beasley (football), Eric Brooks (football), Russell Brooks (football), Sherard Bunkley (football), Alane Hickman (cheer), Conisha Hicks (women's basketball), Conquaya James (cheer), Florazel Lamar (football), Zimier McCloud (football/baseball), Krysta McGowan (women's volleyball), Shantrell Moss (women's basketball/track and field), Morris Stroud Jr. (basketball/football), Johnny Surry (baseball), Joshua Tate (football), Danielle Walker (women's basketball) and Tyler Williams-Bell (women's volleyball).
In addition, the 2010-11 Clark Atlanta men's basketball team will be inducted into the 2026 Raymond "Tweet" Williams Athletics Hall of Fame.
"Perhaps most importantly, this class speaks to the character, professionalism, and excellence of our alumni. These honorees have represented Clark Atlanta University with distinction on our fields, courts, tracks, and sidelines, while continuing to make meaningful contributions in their professions and communities long after graduation. Their unwavering commitment to success serves as an inspiration to our current and future student-athletes and is a testament to the transformative power of a Clark Atlanta University education and athletic experience," noted Athletic Director Dr. Jerel Drew.
