COLUMBIA, S.C. — The Clark Atlanta Lady Panthers delivered a well-rounded performance at the SIAC Track and Field Championships, combining strong finishes on the track and in the field to highlight a competitive showing against conference opponents.
Leading the charge was Lailah Sellers, who captured the SIAC title in the women's 800-meter run with a time of 2:16.90, earning 10 points for Clark Atlanta. Sellers also showcased her range with a second-place finish in the 1,500-meter run, clocking 4:48.75 to add eight more points.
On the sprint side, Jada Hyman secured a runner-up finish in the women's 400-meter dash with a time of 55.19, continuing her strong impact for the Lady Panthers.
Clark Atlanta's relay squads added crucial points in both events. The Lady Panthers placed second in the women's 4x100-meter relay with a time of 45.84, followed by another second-place finish in the 4x400-meter relay at 3:49.29, demonstrating consistency and depth across the sprint group.
In the field, Clark Atlanta made its presence felt with key performances. Jayme Redmond earned a third-place finish in the women's hammer throw, recording a mark of 44.28 meters to bring in six points. Teammate Da'Janae Hannah added to the effort with a ninth-place finish.
In the women's long jump, Morgan Graham delivered a standout performance, finishing second overall with a mark of 5.59 meters, securing eight points for the Lady Panthers and contributing to the team's overall success in the field events.
With a conference champion, multiple runner-up finishes, and strong contributions across both track and field disciplines, Clark Atlanta showcased its balance and competitiveness throughout the SIAC Championships.
