Jayla Kennedy Earns SIAC Runner of the Week, Sets New School Record in 100 Meter Dash

Freshman earns SIAC Weekly Honors

ATLANTA, Ga. – Freshman Jayla Kennedy has earned this week's Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Women's Track and Field Runner of the Week. 

In just her second collegiate meet, Kennedy broke the school record in the 100-meter dash (1st place) with a time of 11.89 at the Victory IceBreaker Duals, only to break her record the following week at the Falcon Classic and Multi with a time of 11.88 and another first place finish. 

Kennedy and the Lady Panthers continue the 2025 season on Friday, March 21 as they take the short trip across town for the annual Emory Spring Break Classic hosted by Emory University.
