Garner Snags Second SIAC Player of the Week Honor of the Year

ATLANTA, Ga. – The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference has released its weekly basketball awards and for the second time this season, Clark Atlanta junior Atreonia Garner was named SIAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week. 

Garner's explosive performances powered Clark Atlanta to two-straight wins, starting with her 32-point, 13 rebound outing in a crucial win over Albany State on Thursday. The Washington state native shot 58% from the field and 60% from the charity stripe in the win.

Atreonia followed up that performance with 17 points in a trouncing of Spring Hill on Saturday afternoon as the Lady Panthers downed the Badgers, 81-47. Garner currently leads the SIAC in scoring with 19.6 points per contest.

The Lady Panthers return to action on Thursday, December 11 as they hit the road to face Central State. Tipoff is set for 5:30 p.m. inside Beacom Lewis Gymnasium.
