Softball Announces the 2025 Regular Season Schedule

Nicole Bayona makes CAU head coaching debut on on the road at Converse

ATLANTA, Ga. — The Clark Atlanta University softball team has announced its 2025 regular-season schedule, with opening day set for Feb. 5 on the road at Converse University. The Lady Panthers aim to turn the tide this season under new head coach Nicole Bayona, who was hired in the summer of 2024.

All home games are played at Lady Panther Softball Field at Panther Stadium.

Clark Atlanta opens the season with its first-ever meeting against Converse University in a doubleheader on Wednesday, Feb. 5. The Lady Panthers will then return home for their season opener, hosting Anderson University in a doubleheader on Friday, Feb. 7, followed by another home doubleheader against CIAA opponent Shaw University on Saturday, Feb. 8. On Feb. 12, Clark Atlanta will host Southern Wesleyan in another doubleheader.

The Lady Panthers will then travel to Spartanburg, South Carolina, to compete in the 2025 SIAC/CIAA Challenge at Tyger River Park. Over the three-day event, Clark Atlanta is scheduled to face Virginia State (Feb. 14), Virginia Union (Feb. 14), Livingstone (Feb. 15), Bluefield State (Feb. 15), and Fayetteville State (Feb. 16). They will stay in South Carolina for a rematch against Southern Wesleyan on Feb. 18.
Conference play begins at home on Saturday, Feb. 22, with a doubleheader against Edward Waters, followed by another doubleheader to close the series on Sunday, Feb. 23. The Lady Panthers will end February on the road with a series at Savannah State, running Feb. 28 to March 1.

Clark Atlanta will return home to host Benedict College in a three-game series from March 7-8 before traveling to Hoover, Alabama, for the 2025 SIAC Crossover. There, they will face Tuskegee (March 11), Lane College (March 11), Kentucky State (March 12), LeMoyne-Owen (March 12), Miles College (March 13), and Spring Hill (March 13).

The Lady Panthers' March schedule includes a doubleheader at Georgia College & State University and a return to conference play with a three-game series at Allen University from March 21-22. They will wrap up March at home with a series against Fort Valley State on March 28-29.

In April, Clark Atlanta hits the road for a series at Albany State on April 4-5, followed by a home doubleheader against Johnson C. Smith on April 8. The Lady Panthers will play their final home games of the season in a non-conference doubleheader against Rust College on April 18.

The regular season concludes with a road doubleheader at Faulkner University in Montgomery, Alabama, on April 24.

The 2025 SIAC Softball Championship Tournament is set for April 28-30 in Columbus, Georgia.
