Softball Takes Down Allen to Win First Conference Series of the Season

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 | Box Score 3 COLUMBIA, S.C. – The Clark Atlanta softball team (9-17, 2-4 SIAC) won their first conference series of the season after defeating Allen 7-3 in game one, 7-4 in game two, before falling to the Yellow Jackets 3-2 in the final game of the series.

Coreya Quarterman got the win on the mound in game one to improve to 5-6 on the season. The St. Petersburg, Florida native struck out six batters with three earned runs in seven innings pitched. She also notched a double on the day in 2-3 at-bats. Myia Lambert crushed a home run and Andreya Hunter logged a triple in the win. Jazmin Scott stole a game-high four bases.

Clark Atlanta softball returns to the diamond on Saturday, March 9 as they head to Talladega, Alabama to take on Talladega College in a doubleheader starting at 1 p.m. central time.
