Alfred Jordan named SIAC Coach of the Year

Panthers finish season with a 22-5 record overall, securing SIAC Eastern Division Title

ATLANTA, Ga. -- The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference has released their 2023-24 postseason superlatives with Clark Atlanta men's basketball head coach Alfred Jordan earning SIAC Coach of the Year in just his first full season as a coach.

With Coach Jordan at the helm in 2023-24, the Panthers boasted a league-best 22-5 record with a 16-5 mark in conference play. The Panthers also secured the SIAC Eastern Division Title.

The Panthers were ranked 22nd nationally after starting the season 6-0 with a road exhibition win over Division I Mercer University on November 6 in Macon.

Under Coach Jordan's leadership in 2023, the Panthers ranked 4th in the conference with an average of 77.2 points per contest. Clark Atlanta also beat opponents by an average margin of 7.2 ppg while ranking 3rd in the SIAC  in field goal percentage, shooting 44% from the floor.

The Clark Atlanta Panthers return to action on Thursday, March 7 at 2:30 p.m. at Tiger Arena in Savannah, Ga. CAU will play the winner of Kentucky State and Savannah State.
