Five Panthers earn postseason accolades

ATLANTA, Ga. – The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference has tabbed junior forward Atreonia Garner the 2026 SIAC WBB Player of the Year, along with Kharye Cayne earning MBB Defensive Player of the Year, Jadyn Shider being named MBB Newcomer of the Year, Kyara Lawrence earning All-Freshman Team honors, and finally Trinity Jones being named to the Third Team.

ATREONIA GARNER - SIAC WBB PLAYER OF THE YEAR

Atreonia Garner capped off her junior season with an SIAC WBB Player of the Year honor after leading the league in scoring, averaging 17.7 points per contest and scoring in double figures in 24 out of 28 games played. She scored a career-high 41 points in the season opener against Mississippi College while also ranking fourth in the conference in rebounding (7.9 rpg).

KYARA LAWRENCE - SIAC WBB ALL-FRESHMAN TEAM

Kyara Lawrence made a direct impact in her inaugural season with the Lady Panthers as she averaged 8.1 points per game, including a career-high 33 points in a win over Miles College. Lawrence also pulled down 3.1 boards per contest.

TRINITY JONES - SIAC WBB THIRD TEAM

Trinity Jones has been a staple in the Clark Atlanta offense for years. Jones averaged 11.3 points per game this season, while leading the team in assists with 3.2 assists per contest. The graduate student surpassed 1,000 career points this season and scored a season-high 22 points in a win over Allen.

KHARYE CAYNE - SIAC MBB Defensive Player of the Year

Kharye Cayne has only played two seasons for the Panthers and led the league in blocks both years. During the 2026 campaign, Cayne swatted 101 blocks, which is tied for first in the entire nation (Division I and II). He notched back-to-back games with 10-plus blocks, also.

JADYN SHIDER - SIAC MBB NEWCOMER OF THE YEAR

Jadyn Shider led the Panthers in scoring in just his first year at Clark Atlanta. The Albany native scored 13.3 points per game and also led Clark Atlanta in rebounding with 8.7 boards per contest. Shider led the league in field goal percentage, shooting 55.3% while also notching seven double-double performances.
