Coach Alfred Jordan Set to Lead Team Booker Tee at Inaugural HBCU Allstar Dream Classic

HARLEM, N.Y. – Clark Atlanta men's basketball head coach Alfred Jordan has been selected as a head coach in the inaugural 2023 HBCU All-Star Dream Classic taking place on August 5 at the legendary Rucker Park in Harlem, New York.

Coach Jordan is no stranger to the famous Rucker Park, being a New York native, his father "Al Cash" was a longtime commentator for the Entertainers Basketball Classic at Rucker Park. Cash is credited with giving many Rucker Park players their famous nicknames.

"Rucker Park is where I found my love for the game of basketball. Watching my father and the impact that he had on the New York City Basketball community was something I always admired about him. With this being the first time I get to coach in NYC, there's no place more fitting than for it to be at Rucker." said Coach Jordan when asked about the opportunity.

The inaugural HBCU All-Star Dream Classic will feature men's and women's All-Star games and recent HBCU players who are now eligible for NBA, WNBA, ABA, Big 3, European, and other Professional league opportunities. The event will also feature luminaries and music legends to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Hip Hop music. 

Coach Jordan will be the coach for the "Booker Tees" whose roster features Korey Williams (Lincoln University), Glen Abram (West Virginia State University), Shawndarius Cowart (Grambling State University), Devin Booker (Tuskegee University), Jeremiah Pope (Shaw University), Quinton Drayton (Bowie State University), Terrance Hunter-Whitfield (Virginia State University), Nathaniel Pollard (University Maryland Eastern Shore), Raemaad Wright (Virginia Union University), and Najee Garvin (Hampton University).

The game will start at 7 p.m. at the conclusion of the women's All-Star game which takes place at 4:30 p.m.
