Bentley Secures First Team All-Conference Nod

ATLANTA, Ga. | The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference has announced its 2023 All-Conference team with Clark Atlanta junior Johannas Bentley getting the First Team nod as a first baseman. 

Bentley led Clark Atlanta in several categories this season including home runs (5), batting average (.402), hits (45), and RBIs (45) to help lead the Lady Panthers to an 18-19 record in the regular season. 

Bentley registered a team-high 193 putouts as a first baseman with a .956 fielding percentage for CAU. She also logged 14 multi-hit games this season in 112 at-bats.

"Johannas has been striving to get to this point.  She's been consistent in her offense and is very deserving of the conference recognition." Said head Coach Lawanda Pearson. 

The Clark Atlanta Lady Panthers softball team continues their SIAC Tournament run tomorrow at 11 a.m. as they take on the loser of Tuskegee versus Edward Waters.
