Lady Panthers Track Competes at UWG Legends Invite

CARROLLTON, Ga. | The Lady Panthers track team competed in the UWG Legends Invite for the second year in a row this past weekend.

WOMEN'S 100-METER

Freshman Anniyah Williams continues to stand out after finishing the 100-meter race in seventh place with a time of 12.40. Kaylin Strahan and Isis Lewis also competed in the 100-meter with Strahan finishing in 19th (12.82) and Lewis in 22nd (12.99).

WOMEN'S 200-METER

Williams added a point for the Lady Panthers with her eighth-place finish (25.35) in the 200-meter.

WOMEN'S 400-METER

Another freshman standout, Karon Warren finished the 400-meter in fourth place (57.87) to boost CAU five more points in the standings. Jayla Hartley-Scott added two more with her seventh-place finish (1:01.13).

WOMEN'S HIGH JUMP

Naomi Andrews put three points on the board with a third-place (1.52m) finish in the high jump.

WOMEN'S JAVELIN THROW

Kaia Barnett chipped in three more with a sixth-place finish (26.94m) in the Javelin.

WOMEN LONG JUMP

Isis Lewis finished the Long Jump in eighth place with a 4.77-meter leap to add a point for CAU.

WOMEN'S SHOT PUT

Kaia Barnett finished the Shot Put in 16th place with a 10.74-meter hurl. Shynique McGee competed in the event as well. McGee finished in 26th with a 8.96-meter throw and Maliyah White placed 34th (6.42m).

WOMEN'S TRIPLE JUMP

McGee also saw success in the Triple Jump after finishing in third with an 11.14-meter jump to add six points.

WOMEN'S 4x100 METER

The team of Kaylin Strahan, Jayla Hartley-Scott, Isis Lewis, and Anniyah Williams added four points with their fifth-place finish and a time of 48.79.

WOMEN'S 4x400 METER

Anniyah Williams, Karon Warren, Kaylin Strahan, and Jayla Hartley-Scott won the 4x400 with a time of 4:11.27 to add 10 points to the final score.

Lady Panthers Track & Field return to action on Friday, April 15, as they head to Life University for the Life Open.
