PREVIEW: Lady Panthers Look to Snap Two-Game Skid in Road Matchup at Clayton State

Lady Panthers look to get back into the win column

ATLANTA, Ga. – The Clark Atlanta University women's basketball team hits the road to face the Clayton State University Lakers on Wednesday (Nov. 29) at 5:30 p.m. Clark Atlanta looks to bounce back in this game after falling to Miles College at home 75-73 this past Saturday in the conference opener.

Scouting the Panthers

· Trinity Jones and Janiah Ellis put on a stellar performance offensively, leading the Panthers with 15 points each against Miles.
· Freshman Atreonia Garner finished with 10 points, nine rebounds, and four steals in her second start of the season
· As a team, Clark Atlanta is averaging 67.4 points per game, 38.3 percent from the field, 21 percent from three, and 64 percent from the foul line.

Scouting Clayton State

· The Lakers are currently 0-6 after some toss losses against UVA-Wise (L, 69-64 OT), Lincoln Memorial (L, 77-64), and most recently Limestone University (L,79-58).
· Clayton State is shooting 34.9 percent from the floor, 29.1 percent from three-point range, and 65.8 percent from the free-throw line.
· Averages 61.8 points per game with leading scorers Jadah Waite (14 PTS), Jasmyn Burts (8 PTS), and Hannah Wright (6.2 PTS)

History

This will be the ninth contest between the Lady Panthers and the Lakers with the last meeting in Morrow finishing in CSU's favor at 85-83 last season.
