Panthers Open Three-Game Road Slate Against Clayton State on Wednesday

Clark Atlanta men's basketball looks to remain undefeated

ATLANTA, Ga. -- The Clark Atlanta University men's basketball team will play their first game in almost a week as they head to Morrow, Georgia tomorrow to take on Peach Belt Conference opponent Clayton State. Tipoff is set for 7:30 p.m. inside the Loch and Mason Barfield Court.

The Panthers head into Wednesday's game sporting a 5-0 record and their best start since the 1995 season.

Scouting the Panthers

Clark Atlanta leads the conference in scoring through the first five games averaging 88 points per contest.
The Panthers currently shoot 48 percent from the field, 32 percent from three, and 70 percent from the charity stripe.
Chris Martin is ranked 1st in the SIAC in scoring with a dominating 24.6 points per game to lead the Panthers.
Andrew Stewart has found success from three-point range, shooting 40 percent from downtown which is good for 3rd in the league.
Kharye Cayne sits at 2nd in the conference in blocks per game (2.4) while Shemani Fuller is ranked 5th (1.8).

Scouting Clayton State

The Lakers average 77.8 points per game while allowing opponents 75.5 per contest.
Clayton State shoots 48 percent from the field, 34 percent from behind the arc, and 65 percent from the foul line.
CSU sits at 2-2 overall through their first four games.

History

Wednesday's game will be the seventh meeting all-time between the two programs dating back to 1995. The Panthers lead the series 4-2 after escaping the Loch with a 94-89 victory during the 2021-22 season.
