ATLANTA, Ga. – After a successful start to the season, head coach Alfred Jordan of the Clark Atlanta men's basketball program has been selected as the Week 1 NCAA D2 HoopDirt.com Coach of the Week presented by Just Play Solutions.
Clark Atlanta went on the road to knock off Division I Mercer University 71-64 last Monday (Nov. 6) to spoil the Bears season opener at Hawkins Arena. The Panthers held the Bears to 37% shooting and outrebounded MU 38-33.
Jordan then led Clark Atlanta to a 2-0 record to start the regular season with wins over West Florida (74-57) and Valdosta State (77-64) as the Panthers hosted the Tony Brown CAU Classic this past weekend (Nov. 10-11). This is also CAU's first 2-0 start since the 2017 season.
Clark Atlanta opens their road slate this weekend as they face another Gulf South Conference opponent in the University of Montevallo Falcons on Friday, Nov. 17 at 7 p.m. CT.
