TUSKEGEE, Ala. – Clark Atlanta University Panther football is on the road for week nine still fighting for a win this season traveling to Tuskegee, Alabama to take on the number one SIAC west division Tuskegee Golden Tigers this weekend (Oct. 28). Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. CT.

MATCHUP PREVIEW
The Panthers, sitting at 0-8 heading into Saturday's long standing rivalry matchup looking to gain their first win of the season. Tuskegee comes in with a 6-2 record (5-1 SIAC) after winning on the road against Savannah State 21-14 this past weekend. Saturday's contest will be the tenth meeting between the two programs dating back to 2000. Tuskegee leads the series 9-0, with last year's meeting being the shortest margin of victory 45-43.
CLARK ATLANTA
Clark Atlanta averages 19.63 points per game while allowing opponents an average of 36.63 ppg. Clark Atlanta continues to win the time of possession battle over opponents 30:30-29:30 and fourth down conversions at 33.33-percent.
Running back Daquon Kincey (Abbeville, Ala.) continues to lead Clark Atlanta in several categories including touchdowns (10) and yards per game (79).
Devion Newson
(Decatur, Ga.) continues to lead the aerial attack, leading the Panthers in receiving yards (528) and averaging 75.43 yards per game. Against Central State, Newson had six receptions totaling 121 yards with his longest catch being 42 yards.
Quarterback Heath Williams Jr. (Clarksville, Tenn.) leads the team in passing with a QB rating of 121.78 and a 51.09 completion percentage, a team-high 1091 yards, four touchdowns, and an average of 136.38 yards per game.
Daquan Nelson (James Island, S.C.) plays secondary with a rating 97.04% rating and 50% completion rate.
TUSKEGEE
The Golden Tigers have had a strong season and look to continue winning after falling to Edward Waters on a last second hail mary on Homecoming, followed by a win over Savannah State on the road. Tuskegee averages 28.75 points per game this season while holding opponents to 28.13 points per game.
LAST TIMEOUT
Clark Atlanta is still looking to secure their first win of the 2023 season after a homecoming loss against Central State 21-48. Williams had a completion rate of 56-percent totaling 218 yards with his longest pass to Newson for 42 yards.
Jeremiah Gibbs led the team in rushing yards that game with 83 yards and one touchdown.
