The Clark Atlanta University Lady Panthers softball team will try to turn around a tough season when they begin play in the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Crossover in Jasper, Ala. today.Â
It's the first time the Crossover has been held since 2020 when the Covid-19 pandemic began just one day into the tournament. Â
The Lady Panthers haven't won since defeating Shaw University on Feb. 19. But CAU is led by big hitters in Preseason All-Conference utility player
Tatianna Kelly and sophomore first baseman
Johannas Bentley. Â
Today they start the tournament against Miles College at 1:15 p.m., followed by a match-up with Spring Hill College at 5:45 p.m. Friday, they take on Tuskegee University at 10 a.m. and then Lane College at 2 p.m. Saturday they take on Kentucky State University at 12:15 p.m., and close the tourney against LeMoyne-Owen College at 4:45 p.m.Â
