It's the final home game of the season as the Clark Atlanta University Lady Panthers host Fort Valley State tonight at 6 p.m. in L.S. Epps Gymnasium.

The Lady Panthers (6-16, 5-7 SIAC) are battling for a chance at the to move up to the third spot in the Southern Intercollegiate Athlletic Conference East Division race, which would mean Clark Atlanta would start next week's SIAC Women's Basketball Tournament on the second day and give them a more favorable draw in the next round. Currently CAU is in fourth place behind Albany State (8-17, 6-9 SIAC) with two games to go.Â
Senior
Reagan Jackson looks to go out with a bang in her final home game. She is only 17 points away from scoring her 1,000th career point in three years for the Lady Panthers. She averages 18.9 points per game and poured in 33 points Monday when the Lady Panthers fell to 97-81.. Sophomore
Corriana Evans is having a spectacular first year with the Lady Panthers as she is averaging 14.3 points and 8.2 rebounds per game.Â
Fort Valley State is led by three players who are averaging double figures in scoring this season - Torry Meyers (14.4 points per game), Diamond Jones (13.2 ppg), and Jah'ne Brown (11.0 ppg). Jones had 19 points in the Wildcats' two-overtime win over Albany State on Saturday, Feb. 12.Â
Tonight is also Senior Night as four Lady Panthers who will participate in their final games in L.S. Epps Gymnasium - Jackson, Lakasia Hill,
Maegan Barkley, and
Alexis Mann. A ceremony will be held for them - and the Panthers basketball seniors, along with seven senior Panthers cheerleaders - immediately following the Lady Panthers' game.Â
After tonight, the Panthers close out the regular season at LeMoyne-Owen on Thursday, Feb. 24.Â
