ATLANTA, GA – The Lady Panthers had an exciting four set match against the Paine College Lions this evening at the Heal Complex in Augusta, GA. The rallies were long, but Clark Atlanta was able to add another win and are now 9-13 overall.
Shynique McGee continues to lead the Panthers, earning another double-double with 17 kills and 12 digs.
Sanaa Simmons fell short of achieving a triple-double tallying 32 assists, 8 kills and 7 digs. The McGee-Simmons duo has consistently led the Panthers to victory this season.
The defensive efforts of senior libero,
Ti'Ana Crider, and freshman defensive specialist,
Trenity Pender, made a huge impact this match. Crider ended the match with 19 digs and Pender tallied 16 digs.
The united offensive front of the Panthers allowed them to pick up steam in the fourth and final set.
Lauryn Terry came off the bench and racked up 7 kills that through the Lions into chaos.
Jaelyn Williams had an active match at the net earning 5 kills. Dickerson and Murphy each contributed 4 kills to the offense this match.
The Panthers head into an important conference weekend that will determine their post-season viability. The take on Benedict College and Allen University, Saturday, October 7
th at 1pm and 4pm.
