The Clark Atlanta University Lady Panthers will be back on the floor for the first time in three weeks when they visit Fort Valley State University today at 2 p.m.
The game can be viewed at

It's an important early season battle in the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference East Division race as only a game separates the two teams. CAU is in third place behind divison-leading Benedict and second-place Savannah State, while FVSU is fourth right behind CAU.
The last time the Lady Panthers (3-10, 3-2 SIAC) were on the court, they defeated Spring Hill 69-64 in L.S. Epps Gymnasium on Dec. 18.  In that game, they were led by the team's leading scorer this season,
Reagan Jackson who had 20 points that day.
Jackson, a senior, is averaging 18.5 points per game and has scored in double figures in every game this season.  The Lady Panthers' other double-digit scorer is sophomore newcomer
Corriana Evans.  Evans averages 11.5 points per game for CAU and has averaged 15 points per game over the Lady Panthers' last three contests.  She also leads the team in rebounding with 7.4 per game.
They head to Fort Valley State to take on a Wildcats squad is 3-6 this season – 2-3 in conference play – that started the season with three straight losses. But FVSU has won three of their last six games with one those losses in overtime to Miles.
The Wildcats are led by Torri Myers, a forward who leads then in scoring with 16.2 points per game and rebounding with just under eight boards per game. Diamond Jones (13.8 points per game) and Jah'ne Brown (11.3 ppg) are their other double-digit scorers.
After this big early season SIAC East matchup, the Lady Panthers are back on the road Monday when they head to Miles and then Wednesday when they visit LeMoyne-Owen.  The Lady Panthers don't return to L.S. Epps Gymnasium until Jan. 22 when they host Albany State.
