The Clark Atlanta University Lady Panthers are on the road today, though not far away, when they take on Clayton State in Morrow, Ga., on Atlanta's southside at 5:30 p.m.

The Lady Panthers (2-6, 2-0 SIAC) are coming off a 71-58 home loss to Lane on Saturday. That loss came after CAU had previously won consecutive games over Central State and Kentucky State.

Reagan Jackson and Corriana Evans continue to pace the Lady Panthers so far this season. Jackson has scored in double figures in every game this season and leads CAU in scoring with 16.5 points and 4.1 rebounds per game. She also leads the team in steals with 32 this season. Evans averages 10.6 points and six rebounds per game.  In her first season in a CAU uniform, Evans has averaged 16.3 points per game over the last three games, including 20 points against Central State and 18 against Lane.

Clayton State (4-2) started the season with four straight wins over Virginia-Wise, Anderson, Montevallo, and Delta State before dropping games against #19 Carson Newman and Belmont Abbey.

Timi'a Swanson and Audrey McElhaney lead the Lakers so far this season. Swanson has scored 12.8 points per game this season and leads Clayton State in rebounding with 7.5 boards per game.  McElhaney is their other double-figure scorer, putting up 12.2 points per game and 5.2 rebounds per game.

It has been 21 years since the two teams have matched up, with CAU winning at Clayton State 74-66 in December 2000. CAU is 4-2 versus Clayton State since 1996.

After tonight's game, Clark Atlanta returns home on Thursday, Dec. 9 when they host Miles College at 6 p.m. in L.S. Epps Gymnasium.
