Clark Atlanta Heads to Augusta to Take on Paine at 2 p.m.

The Clark Atlanta University Lady Panthers look to get back on track today when they visit Paine at 2 p.m. in Augusta, Ga.

The Lady Panthers (6-15, 4-8 SIAC) fell to Paine (7-11, 6-5 SIAC) 62-46 this past Monday at L.S. Epps Gymnasium.   But the game is part of a big stretch for the Lady Panthers who sit in fifth place in the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference's East Division.  Even though
CAU is fifth, roughly only two games separate them from second place where Fort Valley State is 6-6 in conference play, as is Paine. Savannah State is fourth at 5-5.  Benedict leads the East with a 10-1 SIAC mark.

Today begins a stretch when CAU plays all four of those teams, beginning with Paine.
Monday's game saw the Lady Panthers with their lowest point output of the season (they also scored 46 against Division I Jacksonville State) with 46 points.  Paine hit 45 percent of their shots, including 12-13 baskets in the fourth quarter after a third quarter in which they only managed one basket.   But the Lady Panthers only hit 25 percent of their shots the entire game.

Keondra Archie is Paine's leading scorer at nearly 16 points per game, but she only had eight points Monday against CAU.   Victoria Jackson had 14 points against CAU Monday while Kezia Holmes added 13.

Clark Atlanta has been led by Naomi Holloway, who was CAU's high-scorer at 13 points Monday. She also led the Lady Panthers with eight rebounds.  Autum Morings, the SIAC's fourth-leading rebounder, had nine points and seven boards Monday night.  Reyana Miller is averaging 11.5 points per game while Reagan Jackson, who has been sidelined with an injury, continues to be CAU's leading scorer at 12.9 points per game.

After today's game, the Lady Panthers are back home on Monday when they host Benedict at 6 p.m.
