Clark Atlanta Battles Fort Valley State in Regular Season Finale Tonight

Clark Atlanta heads into tonight's regular season finale at Fort Valley State with a chance to move up one spot in the SIAC East Division and one player closing in on a career milestone.

Tipoff is at 5:30 p.m. with the game being shown live, via web stream, at https://team1sports.com/fvsu/.

The Lady Panthers(7-18, 5-11 SIAC) are in the fifth spot in the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference's East Division race, just behind Paine.  A CAU win and a Paine loss to Benedict tonight would leave both teams in a tie for the fourth spot in the SIAC East.

Tonight's game against Fort Valley State (13-12, 9-7 SIAC) also will be a chance for Clark Atlanta to get some momentum heading into next week's SIAC Women's Basketball Tournament in Rock Hill, S.C.   The tournament begins on Monday, March 2.

But tonight's game will also be a chance for Reyana Miller to reach 1,000 career points scored over her four-year career.  Heading into tonight's game, Miller has scored 985 points.   She has scored 17.7 points per game over her last four games.

Against Fort Valley State on Jan. 11 – a game in which Miller scored 11 points – the Lady Panthers erased a double-digit, second half lead to send the game into overtime, but 76-68.
Their leading scorer this season, Nola Carter, scored 15 points in that game, while second-leading scorer, Torri Myers, had 12.

Miller leads CAU in scoring this season with 12.1 points per game and is fifth in assists with 3.2 per game. Autum Morings is the SIAC's sixth-leading rebounder with 9.8 boards per game.
