Clark Atlanta Lady Panthers softball player
Keshonna Terrell ended this past season as the national Division II statistical champion in triples per game, the NCAA announced Monday.
Terrell, a junior from Hogansville, Ga., finished the 2019 season with .25 triples per game for the Lady Panthers. Terrell, who was named to the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference's All-SIAC team, hit .379 with 28 RBIs and seven triples this season. She also hit two home runs for CAU. Terrell had two triples against Paine on April 22.
"Keshonna is one of our most quiet standouts," said Lady Panthers head coach
Lawanda Pearson. "She has one of the strongest bats on the team. She put in the work to perform well and it has paid off offensively. We can't be more proud of her accomplishments."
Buoyed by Terrell, the Lady Panthers also had the NCAA's highest team average for triples per game with .57.
