Lady Panthers Face LeMoyne-Owen at 2 p.m. Today

The Clark Atlanta University Lady Panthers will host LeMoyne-Owen Magicians today at 2 p.m. in L.S. Epps Gymnasium as they play their final game before the holiday break.  Admission is free.

The Lady Panthers (3-9, 2-2 SIAC) will close out the 2019 portion of their season against a LeMoyne-Owen (5-4, 2-2 SIAC) that has won four games in a row, including a 72-68 win over Fort Valley State Thursday.  The CAU and LeMoyne-Owen have split their last four meetings since 2016, with the CAU last defeating the Magicians in January 2017.

LeMoyne-Owen's Lamontazia Blair has led the Magicians in scoring this season with 16.9 points per game including 27 against Fort Valley State.  A week before that, she had 25 points against Tougaloo College.  Gabbie Morgan averages 13.6 points per game for the Magicians.

Clark Atlanta continues to be led by sophomore guard Reagan Jackson who has averaged 14.6 points per game.  Senior guard Reyana Miller has added 12.5 points per game for the Lady Panthers, with newcomer Autum Morings leading CAU with 8.5 rebounds per game, along with scoring 9.3 points per game.

After today's game, the Lady Panthers will be off for the Christmas and New Year's break.   Clark Atlanta returns to action on Jan. 4 when they hit the road to take on Central State and then Jan. 6 when they visit Kentucky State.  The Panthers return to L.S. Epps Gymnasium on Saturday, Jan. 11 when they host Fort Valley State.
