The Clark Atlanta University Lady Panthers have cleared nearly all of their tough, non-conference schedule and now get into Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play when they visit Tuskegee today at 1 p.m.
In nine games so far this season, the Lady Panthers (2-7, 1-0 SIAC) have played a non-conference schedule that has featured six of the top teams in the country and the region.  But now the Lady Panthers will turn their focus to SIAC competition. They have only more non-conference game this season - a Jan. 25 date with Montevallo.
The Lady Panthers have one SIAC win under their belt as they defeated Lane 81-75 in two overtimes on Dec. 2.  Since then, they have played the No. 14 team in the country (North Georgia), the sixth-ranked team in the South region (West Georgia), and Division I Ohio Valley Conference member Jacksonville State.
Now they visit a Tuskegee (4-4, 1-0 SIAC) that won their Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference opener this past Monday over Albany State 67-60. The Golden Tigers started off their season with a 78-73 huge statement win over Division I Georgia State in an exhibition on Oct. 29.
After falling two teams the Lady Panthers also lost to – Auburn-Montgomery and Montevallo, Tuskegee reeled off three straight wins over Shorter, a rematch with Montevallo, and Southern University of New Orleans.  They lost to Young Harris and Columbus State before defeating Albany State this past week.
One of the better rebounding teams in the SIAC, Tuskegee is led by the one-two punch of India Blakely and Genesis Adams. Blakely averages 11 points per game and is third in the SIAC in 3-point percentage and fifth in assists while Adams averages 12 points per game and is seventh in rebounds.
The Lady Panthers are led by
Reagan Jackson who has scored 13.6 points per game this season;
Reyana Miller who averages 10.6 points per game as well as ranking among the SIAC's leaders in assists and assists-to-turnover ratio; and
Autum Morings, the SIAC's fifth-best rebounder.
Since 2016, Clark Atlanta and Tuskegee have only played four games, with the Golden Tigers winning three including last season's 81-76 victory at L.S. Epps Gymnasium.
After today's game, the Lady Panthers remain on the road as they head to Mobile, Ala., to take on Spring Hill on Monday, Dec. 16 at 5:30 p.m.  Clark Atlanta returns home on Dec. 19
th at 6 p.m. when they host Miles, and then Dec. 21
st at 2 p.m. when they play LeMoyne-Owen.Â
