The Clark Atlanta University tennis team, coming off a successful weekend in the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Round Up, goes on the road for a non-conference matchup with Point University Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. in West Point, Ga.
The Lady Panthers went 5-1 in last weekend's Round Up in Columbia, S.C., defeating LeMoyne-Owen, Albany State, Spring Hill, Lane and Tuskegee. Their only loss was a competitive 6-3 defeat at the hands of Benedict.
CAU is 6-4 overall and in second place in the SIAC, just a game behind Benedict (9-3, 7-0 SIAC).
The Lady Panthers are led by
Akilah Parker, who has lost only one match this season and
Vanessa Eusebio who has won six matches so far in 2018, while
DiAndrea Galloway has won five of her matches this season. The doubles team of
Vivian Moultrie has been successful in doubles play with her sister Kevona, and
Nicola Ramdyhan, both strong singles players also.Â
Alexis Fletcher and
Jade Shugars round out a talented squad, top to bottom.
They take on a Point University squad that is 4-1 this season and is coming off an 8-1 victory over Agnes Scott College on Thursday, Feb. 22.
After visiting Point, the Lady Panthers are on the road again Thursday, March 1 when they visit Gwinnett College in Lawrenceville, Ga., at 1 p.m.
