The 12-1 Clark Atlanta University Panthers return to L.S. Epps Gymnasium tonight when they host Lane College at 8 p.m.
The Panthers have won seven straight games and are 6-0 and tied for second place in the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference's East Division with Morehouse. Both teams are a game behind first-place Claflin. A Claflin loss and a CAU win tonight puts the Panthers in first place.
CAU, the second-highest scoring team in the conference and the third-best team in scoring defense, is led by leading scorer and rebounder
Akil Douglas, the SIAC's leader in steals
Austin Donaldson, and senior point guard
Anthony Williams, the conference's leader in assists-to-turnover ratio.
Lane (4-7, 3-4 SIAC), a solid defensive squad, is in first place in the SIAC West Division and is led by Kendarius Ash (14.3 points and 12.3 rebounds per game).
