The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference East Division-leading Clark Atlanta University Lady Panthers are back in action tonight when they visit Paine College in Augusta, Ga., at 5:30 p.m.
The Lady Panthers, 12-7 overall, have won their last three games, including a 76-55 victory over Claflin University in their last game a week ago. Â CAU is 10-2 in the SIAC East, with Claflin holding on to second place at 9-3.
Clark Atlanta defeated Paine 76-47 on Nov. 30 at L.S. Epps Gymnasium.
Lauren Turner had 14 points and 13 rebounds, leading four Lady Panthers who scored in double figures. Â Turner is the SIAC's leading rebounder with ten per game and is in the Top 10 in scoring in the SIAC with 13.6 points per game. But the Lady Panthers also have the SIAC's fifth-leading scorer in freshman
Naomi Holloway who has averaged 15.4 points per game this season. Â
Marissa Mandeldove is also a double-digit scorer with 12.6 points per game and leads the conference in assists and steals.
Paine is winless this season at 0-16, but the Lady Lions only lost by three, 73-70, to Albany State last Monday. Â The Lady Lions are led by Keondra Archie, who averages nearly 13 points and eight rebounds a game. Archie has scored in double figures in 12 of the 15 games she's played in this season.
