The Clark Atlanta University Lady Panthers will look to get back on the winning side Saturday when they visit Albany State University at 2 p.m.
The Lady Panthers (9-6 overall) are in first place in the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference East Division with a 7-1 record, just head of 7-2 Claflin.  They face the third-place team in the East, Albany State, a team that at 5-3 is looking to close in on the two division leaders.
CAU's four-game winning streak was snapped last weekend when the Lady Panthers fell to LeMoyne-Owen 59-48 in what was the Lady Panthers' lowest point output of the season.
But CAU features senior
Lauren Turner, who has had double-double games in each of the Lady Panthers' past six outings. She averages 14.1 points per game and leads the SIAC in rebounding with 10.4 per game.  The Lady Panthers also have the SIAC's sixth-best scorer in freshman
Naomi Holloway, who averages 16.2 points per game, including a career-high 32 points at Spring Hill two weeks ago. Â Senior guard
Marissa Mandeldove leads the conference in assists and steals, while
Courtney Hall is third in the conference in blocked shots.
Albany State is 9-9 overall and is coming off a 55-49 loss to Spring Hill College last week. They had won four of their previous five games before that loss.   The Lady Golden Rans are led by Elesha Foster, who averages 12.4 points and six rebounds per game. Kayla Green adds 12.3 points and 5.5 rebounds per game.Â
