Box Score 1 ATLANTA, Ga. - Clark Atlanta University competed this past weekend in all four spring sports. The track & field team competed in the Choccolocco Challenge hosted by Jacksonville State University while the tennis program took to the court in the second SIAC Round Up from Mobile, Ala. along with a weekend series for baseball at Albany State and the softball team hosting Claflin over the weekend.
TRACK & FIELD: Full Results
Track and field scored the most points since last running at Jacksonville State on Mar. 11 on the way to a second place finish by securing 130 points.
D'Yanna McCaskill took the lone first place finish for the Panthers as she claimed the 400 Hurdles with a time of 1:06.03. CAU won both the 4x100 and 4x400 Relays.
Jazmine Bowser finished runner-up in the High Jump (1.63 Meters) and
Shahara Mitchell was also runner-up in the Javelin (36.25 Meters).
TENNIS: Full Results
Clark Atlanta traveled to Mobile, Ala. for the second SIAC Round Up of the season and wrapped up the event with a 5-1 record. The weather pushed the matches back one day with CAU winning 3-fo-4 matches on March 31 - defeating Albany State (9-0), Fort Valley State (9-0) and Spring Hill (7-2). The Panthers won both matches on the final day by defeating LeMoyne-Owen (9-0) and Lane (9-0.)

Jade Shugars each went 5-1 in singles competition while Eusebio went 4-0 in doubles paired with
Keyvona Moultrie.
BASEBALL:
CAU stayed in state traveling to SIAC rival Albany State for three games over the weekend. The Panthers opened the series with a 7-4 victory on Friday night.
Jezreel Moore pitched into the seventh inning to capture his third victory of the season by scattering just five hits allowing three runs - one earned. Five Panthers tallied a pair of hits each highlighted by
Jason Howell leading off the game with a homerun to right field as CAU scored four runs in the first inning. Clark Atlanta was swept in the doubleheader, 11-4 and 9-6, on Saturday. The series finale had
Raphael Andrades hit his third homerun in the top of the seventh as a grand slam to bring the Panthers within three runs with one out before a pair of outs ended the rally.
SOFTBALL:
The softball team was the lone program that competed at home over the weekend in a series versus Claflin. Clark Atlanta was swept in the three-game series; 12-3, 4-2 and 8-6.
Jessica Vason led the offense during the series with four hits while
Tatianna Kelly added three including the only homerun - her sixth of the season - hit by CAU during the series.
