ALBANY, Ga. - The women's basketball game for Clark Atlanta University at Albany State this weekend has been changed. The game will be played on Jan. 16 with the game start time moved up from the originally scheduled 5:30 p.m., the start will be at 1:00 p.m.
Clark Atlanta (5-10; 3-2 SIAC) recently had a four-game winning streak snapped at Kentucky State. Albany State (5-9; 5-1 SIAC) has won two consecutive and three of the last four games.
The Panthers boast an SIAC-best in assist to turnover ratio (0.79:1), free throw percentage (75.9), turnovers per game (15.1). With 267 made free throws this season, CAU sits second in the SIAC and No. 9 nationally.
The backcourt of
Mykala Jones and
Sydni Davis sit near the top of the conference and NCAA rankings in numerous individual categories.
Jones is scoring 21.9 PPG to top the SIAC and is No. 6 in Division II. Jones also leads the conference in minutes per game (34.87), free throw percentage (87.4), made free throws (83).
Davis is sixth-best in free throws made (58), and is fourth-best in both assists (46) and assists to turnover ratio (1:1).
Siera Bubb averages seven defensive rebounds per game to rank second in the SIAC. Bubb has corralled 157 rebounds this season to total the most in the conference and No. 19 nationally. With an average of 105 rebounds per game, Bubb is second in the conference and 19th in the country. She has also recorded five double-doubles to date.
