Box Score Columbia, S.C. --- Trying to get revenge for an earlier season loss, the Clark Atlanta University Lady Panthers traveled to Benedict College on Saturday. Unfortunately for them, the results were much the same as they fell to the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) leading Tigerettes, 75-56.
The Lady Panthers (8-14, 4-11 SIAC) looked to have a shot at the win as the first half ended, only trailing by six. However, Benedict started out hot from the floor in the second half and quickly opened up a double-digit lead, eventually outscoring CAU 35-22 in the last twenty-minutes of the game.
Mykala Jones led the way for the Lady Panthers with 19 points, with Kristine Lesane scoring a game-high 26 points for BC.
The Lady Panthers will return home on Monday, February 16
th, as they take on Albany State University. Tip-off is set for 6 PM. The Clark Atlanta University Athletic Department and the basketball teams will be recognizing the senior basketball players as they celebrate "Senior Night."Â
