Lady Panthers Fall in First Road Conference Game

Box Score Fairfield, Ala. --- Despite double-digit scoring from three players, the Clark Atlanta University Lady Panthers fell on the road to Miles College in Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) action on Thursday, January 8th. The Lady Panthers were led for the second straight game by Mykala Jones, who recorded 12 points. Porshia Blue led the way for the Lady Golden Bears with 19 points.,

The Lady Panthers (4-5, 1-2 SIAC) fell behind from the opening tip-off, but rallied in the second half to tie the game at 42-42 with eight minutes to play. However, the Lady Panthers were unable to ever take the lead, eventually losing 59-49.,

Jones was joined in double-digit scoring by Sydni Davis and Denissea Law, who both added 10. Siera Bubb led the way for CAU on the boards, pulling down 12 rebounds in the contest.

The Lady Panthers continue their road trip as they take on SIAC foes Kentucky State in Frankfort, Kentucky, on Saturday. They finish up their road trip at Lane College in Jackson, Tennessee, on Monday, January 12th, before returning home.
